The screw piles are primarily intended for use in jetty construction where the pairs of piles, side bars and decking construction interact and reduce the horizontal load and movement of the piles. The piles have great ability to transfer forces to the bottom segment, mainly axially. Forces that arise on the piles are mainly shear forces and lateral forces from loads on the jetty and torsional forces when driving the piles. The reinforcement in composite material is chosen and positioned so as to obtain the greatest possible tensile strength, taking into account the forces and torque that occur.
