The pressure screw piles are intended for single use as a mooring pole, marking pole, fender pole etc. The piles have a great ability to transfer horizontal forces to the bottom segment. They are extremely resistant to ice forces, when the torque (Mv) and vertical counter-forces interact against the grip of the ice on the axial movement of the pile. The forces that arise are mainly horizontal and give rise to bending stresses in the pile. The reinforcement in composite material is chosen and positioned so as to obtain the greatest possible tensile strength to counteract the bending stresses.
